Raise The Bar Pty Ltd ("Raise The Bar", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who use our platform. By using the Raise The Bar platform, website, or services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Who We Are
Raise The Bar Pty Ltd is an Australian company providing operational issue-tracking software for hospitality venues. Our platform allows venue staff to report operational issues via WhatsApp and enables managers to track, assign, and resolve those issues.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account and profile information
When you or your venue administrator creates an account, we collect:
- •Name and display name
- •Email address
- •Phone number (for WhatsApp integration)
- •Role within your venue (e.g. staff, manager, owner)
- •Venue name and location details
2.2 Operational data
When staff use the platform to report issues, we collect:
- •Issue descriptions submitted via WhatsApp or the app
- •Photos and attachments submitted with reports
- •Task assignments, comments, and resolution notes
- •Shift debrief content
- •Timestamps and shift metadata
2.3 WhatsApp communication data
Our platform integrates with WhatsApp Business via Twilio. When you interact with our WhatsApp bot, we receive and store the content of those messages. Your WhatsApp number is linked to your venue profile. We do not access your personal WhatsApp contacts or conversations outside of messages sent directly to our bot.
2.4 Usage and technical data

2.5 Payment information
Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or full payment details. Stripe's privacy policy governs the handling of payment data.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- •Provide, operate, and improve the Service
- •Process and respond to issue reports submitted by staff
- •Generate AI-assisted task suggestions and shift summaries using Claude (Anthropic)
- •Send WhatsApp and SMS notifications relevant to your shift activity
- •Send pre-shift and post-shift digest messages to managers
- •Process subscription payments via Stripe
- •Respond to support requests and enquiries
- •Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- •Comply with applicable legal obligations
4. AI Processing
Raise The Bar uses Claude, an AI model provided by Anthropic, to process issue reports, generate task suggestions, and produce shift summaries. When you submit an issue report, its content may be sent to Anthropic's API for processing.
We do not use your operational data to train external AI models. Anthropic's API usage policy governs how API-submitted data is handled on their end. We recommend reviewing Anthropic's privacy policy for further detail.
5. Disclosure of Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
5.1 Service providers
We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- •Supabase — database and authentication (AU-hosted)
- •Twilio — WhatsApp and SMS message delivery
- •Anthropic — AI processing (Claude)
- •Stripe — payment processing
- •Vercel — application hosting and deployment
Each provider is bound by their own privacy policies and, where applicable, data processing agreements.
5.2 Within your organisation
Issue reports, tasks, and shift summaries submitted within your venue are visible to other authorised users of your venue account (e.g. managers, shift leads). Venue administrators control which staff members have access.
5.3 Legal requirements
We may disclose information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or where we reasonably believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Raise The Bar, our users, or the public.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on infrastructure hosted in Australia. We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest.
While we take security seriously, no system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at security@raisethebar.app.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as:
- •Your account remains active, or
- •It is necessary to provide the Service, or
- •Required by law or legitimate business purposes
When you close your account or request deletion, we will delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Operational issue data may be retained in anonymised or aggregated form.
8. Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles, you have the right to:

- •Request deletion of your personal information (subject to legal exceptions)
- •Opt out of marketing communications at any time

9. Cookies and Tracking
Our website uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use analytics tools to understand how visitors use our site. You can control cookie settings through your browser, though disabling cookies may affect functionality.
10. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
